IT spending in the MENA region is on the rise and set to soar further in the coming months and years. Hence the massive interest in the 36th GITEX Technology Week – one of the world’s most popular IT trade shows. From 16 to 20 October, over 150,000 people from over 140 countries travelled to Dubai’s World Trade Center to hear all about the latest in IT. Barco was there too, at no fewer than three different booths!

For years, our Middle East distributor FVC has been showcasing Barco solutions at its GITEX booth. This year was no different. Visitors who dropped by the FVC booth at the Zabeel Hall were invited to try the ClickShare meeting room collaboration systems and our education solution. AV expert Abcom, for its part, a trusted distributor of our WePresent solution, demonstrated the benefits of our wireless WePresent presentation system. This was all projected onto the screen with our PGWU-62L projector.

Not a distributor but a Barco customer, the General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners affairs (GDRFA) was happy to promote some Barco gear at its stand as well! With the help of our integration partner Intertech Vision ME, GDRFA set up our OSV-340C collaboration video wall to promote their e-services and share their social media live feeds – a great way for Barco to gain some extra visibility at this must-attend event!
